Dear children, parents and guardians welcome to Year 3 Badgers class page. You can find photos, curriculum and timetable updates.
We always have lots to look forward to whilst we encourage one another and build each other up!
Key Messages:
- Please ensure that your child is wearing the correct school uniform (details can be found on the main page). Key things to remember include plain white t-shirts for PE (no football shirts), school shoes and not trainers and skirts which must be knee-length.
- As a minimum, the children are expected to practice their spellings and times tables daily, and read three times a week with this being signed off in their homework diaries.
- Healthy snacks only- fruit and vegetables.

Maths
We use the White Rose Maths Mastery approach to teach maths and TT Rock Stars to practice times tables. Both of these can be accessed at home to practice maths. Tables will be tested each week to see how you are all getting on and to help you to keep making progress with these. Children have been provided with their log-in details to bring home. Please let us know if you are having any problems accessing the site.
For your information this is the National Curriculum expectation for times tables.
- Y2 - recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers
- Y3 - recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 3, 4 and 8 multiplication tables
- Y4 - recall multiplication and division facts for multiplication tables up to 12 × 12 (6x, 7x, 9x, 11x then 12x)
All Y4 children will participate in the national Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) - an on-line test which tests their recall of multiplication and division facts for all tables up to and including 12x. They have 6 seconds to answer each question, and this is how we conduct our weekly checks. The tests will be completed between 5th and 16th June.
